TPG has just updated their Naked DSL and ADSL2+ plans. The only effect on the Naked DSL plans is the removal of the $79.99 plan. Across the board TPG seems to be moving away from the massive off peak download limits that many of their plans carried. TPG still has very high download limits compared to most ISPs, especially on their cheaper plans.
The current TPG Naked DSL plans are:
- $59.99 for 50GB of downloads – 25GB in peak times and 25GB in off peak times. This plan only counts downloads in the data limit and is shaped to 128k/128k once the limit is reached. Off peak hours are daily between 2am and 8am. A static IP is included on this plan.
- $99.99 for 80GB of downloads, which can be used any time of the day or night. Once the download limit is exceeded on this plan the speed is shaped to 256/256k. A static IP is also included on this plan.
The set up fees remain the same at $149.95 for a 6 month contract or $79.95 for an 18 month contract. The standard Naked DSL set up time with TPG is from 10-20 working days.
