New TPG Naked DSL Plans Released

by Luke on March 12, 2009

TPG has just announced the launch of two new Naked DSL plans. We were initially surprised TPG only released the $59.99 plan when they launched Naked DSL, so it’s not a surprise now to see them introducing more plans and widening their market appeal with $79.99 and $99.99 plans. Here are details on the two new plans:

$79.99 per month [This plan has since been discontinued]

  • 50GB Peak usage and 100GB off peak usage = 150GB download limit
  • uploads are not counted
  • static IP comes as standard
  • no excess data fees – speed is shaped to 128k/128k
  • ADSL2+ speed
  • free TPG IPTV trial

$99.99 per month [This plan has since been amended]

  • 80 GB per month of anytime usage! No peak or off peak
  • uploads are not counted
  • static IP comes as standard
  • no excess data fees – speed is shaped to 256k/256k
  • ADSL2+ speed
  • free TPG IPTV trial

On all of the TPG Naked DSL plans there is a choice of a 6 month contract ($149.95 set up) or 18 month contract ($79.95 set up).

TPG’s existing plan is $59.99 for 25GB in peak and 25GB in off peak. Off peak runs from 2am to 8am. But if you need even more downloads every month these new plans are fantastic!

TPG has an extensive ADSL2+ network, especially in and around Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. They only have 11 enabled exchanges in WA, no doubt because of iinet’s strength in the west.
